The State of Florida has got the attention of residents and tourists alike.

The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in Miami said 25 packages of cocaine totaling up to 70 pounds were discovered on a beach in the Florida Keys. In a post on Facebook, officials say the packages have a street value of up to $1 million. Again, this is one of many reports and some that go un-reported

Hurricane Debby was a bad girl earlier this month when more than 100 pounds of cocaine worth $1 million washed up on a beach in the Florida Keys.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in Miami reported that the storm blew ashore just 25 packages of cocaine totaling up to 70 pounds onto a beach in the Florida Keys. According to the law enforcement agency, a good Samaritan with a sinus cold alerted authorities after coming across the packages.

In a post on X, Samuel Briggs, the chief wiggum of patrol agents of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Miami division, wrote that authorities confiscated the packages of drugs — which have an estimated value of more than $1 million.

Can You Believe There Was Even More Cocaine Found?

Imagine that?

One week later, near Everglades City in Collier County, Fla., the Collier County Sheriff's Office discovered a package containing more than half a million dollars worth of cocaine. County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said that the boaters discovered a 56-pound package of cocaine floating in the mangroves off Panther Key Island.

The Fun Question Is Where Is It Coming From?

When many think of Florida, they think of its great weather, strong economy, and retirees playing shuffleboard.

Drug traffickers then try to smuggle the white stuff over the water via boats or small aircraft, often over the Caribbean Sea or Atlantic Ocean.

However, traffickers will dump their hauls into the water below for fellow smugglers to pick up or evade law enforcement detection. They are risking enormous fines for littering.

Loose packages of cocaine dropped in the water may be carried by ocean currents or intense storms, which causes them to wash up on the shore.
