California Principal On Administrative Leave After Dirty Dancing With Mascot
A California principal is now on administrative leave after apparently dirty dancing with the school’s mascot. Now, the video is going viral online.
Sometimes, you can show too much spirit during pep assemblies. This seems to be an example of that happening. It’s that time of year when kids and staff are going back to school. However, it might be an incredibly short school year for this California principal.
California Principal On Administrative Leave After Dirty Dancing With Mascot
I’ve seen some bad rallies inside school gymnasiums. There have been bad dances, poor performances, and not-very-exciting speakers. However, I’ve never seen one like this. This might go down as the strangest pep rally of all time after a California principal appears to get down with some dirty dancing with the school’s mascot. It looks like it started with the mascot dancing on him like a little strip tease before he sits the mascot down and it’s his turn to do a little dancing.
According to Your Central Valley, a principal with the Merced Union High School District was seen on video appearing to dance inappropriately with the high school mascot at a back-to-school rally. Now, he’s been reportedly put on administrative leave for his actions. The principal has been identified as Buhach Colony High School Principal Robert Nunez and was put on leave the following Monday after the rally on Friday, per Your Central Valley.
Viviana Fuentes, the district’s Director of Communications, says, “This decision comes as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all students and staff,” via Your Central Valley. The dancing all happened while Ginuwine’s “Pony” plays–which is synonymous with strip clubs and lap dances. During the dance he even fires off some confetti at the mascot which could have interpretations all on its own. Before wheeling the mascot out of the gym on a chair it sounds like he says, “What happens at Buach stays at Buach!” Oh, not. That won’t help his case at all. What on earth was he thinking with that quote? You have to know nothing stays anywhere these days! There are cameras everywhere–especially where there are teens. This was a horrible decision.
Now, an investigation is ongoing and other people will be stepping in to serve as acting principals at Buhach Colony High School. You can watch the trending video for yourself below.
