Good Morning? Coffee Prices Expected To Rise Even Higher
Coffee prices are reportedly expected to rise even higher than they currently are. The best part of waking up is not checking your bank account.
Coffee prices are already seemingly higher than they’ve been. Now, you’re telling me we’re going to have to start spending even more? Some people will have to just pay up to get their fix but others might have to try to find an alternative! Here’s more below.
Coffee Prices Expected To Rise Even Higher
Supply chain issues have already taken away some of our favorite fast-food items like the Snack Wrap at McDonald’s. Now, it looks like supply chain issues are to blame for an increase in coffee prices.
According to The Guardian, Italian Coffee Company Lavazza says the price of coffee is set to remain very high and is unlikely to drop until the middle of next year! When you talk about having a cup or two a day, that can really start to add up!
Giuseppe Lavazza, who owns the company, tells The Guardian, “We have never seen such a spike in price as the trend right now. The coffee supply chain is dramatically under pressure. Coffee prices are not going down…[they’re] going to stay very high.”
The Guardian reports that customers in The UK could see coffee prices increase by 20% to 25% over the coming year! So, how are people combatting these rising prices? It sounds like we’re making more coffees at home! Sure, grinding your own beans and doing the work yourself is more labor, but you can save a pretty penny that way! As we now, that coffee money can really add up. It’s much more economical to invest in a good at-home set-up than to rely on your local coffee shop or a chain every day. If you’ve ever been interested in getting a French Press, now could be the time!
