Florida Man Survives 60-Foot Fall Into A Creek (VIDEO)
A Florida man is alive (and surprisingly well) after a 60-foot fall into a creek! It was a high fall, and he hit several branches on his way down.
Now, the video is going viral online. He looked like a cartoon character making a fall as he bounces off the branches on the tree. It appears that a branch he was standing on snapped sending him down into the water. Check out the viral video below.

Just watching the video, you know that had to hurt. He falls from an incredibly high height, and it’s not a graceful fall. According to FOX 35 Orlando, the incident happened at Crystal Spins in Vernon, Florida. Christopher James Sikes Smalley has been identified as the man in the video.
FOX 35 Orlando reports that Smalley was left with only minor injuries after the fall. In the video, you can see him make the 60-foot fall into a creek after it appears that a branch he was standing on, and likely preparing to jump off of, broke off sending him down (and down hard).
Smalley told Storyful, “The fall was crazy. I knew when I heard the branch crack that it just got real and I was going down. It was the first time at that height. I jump from the branch I hit on the way down all the time,” via FOX 35 Orlando. That’s a great quote. It sounds like the thing a guy who jumps off trees would say.
You have to know that the branches breaking when you stand on them is a very realistic possibility. At that height if a branch snaps, it’s unlikely going to end well for you. Smalley was very lucky to only have a few bruises and minor injuries after the fall. While he might not have any scars, he’ll certainly have a story to last a lifetime and it was all caught on camera. Check out the viral video shared by FOX 35 Orlando on YouTube below!
