Is This The Strangest Hotline Ever?
Check Out The Strangest Hotline Ever For Crying
The internet is a strange place. You never know what you could find. What goes away and come back one day and nothing is gone forever thanks to the internet. Now, somebody has dug up an old ’80s ad for a hotline you would call and just…cry. Yes, a hotline for crying. It could very well be the strangest hotline ever. You could call 1-900-9099-CRY and cry your eyes out. The one-of-a-kind hotline cost $2 for the first minute and 45 cents each additional minute after that. During the call, you’d get to listen to someone tell you a sob story to assist you in your need for a cry. That’s very different from most hotlines I’ve heard of. The video is awesome. It’s so ’80s! I’m tempted to call to see if the number is still in service, but don’t want to be surprised with a massive bill next month. Instead, let’s just watch and enjoy this video that’s going viral online. The ’80s were a different time, but I’m sure we could still use this feature today. Sometimes, you just have to let it out. Thankfully, back then there was someone waiting for that 24/7. Check out the trending video below! The acting is spot on, it could be my favorite part. This ad had to have won several awards back in the day. Certainly, the actress went on to become somebody in show business. I just can’t place it right now. It’ll come to me. See for yourself!Chuck The Freak's List Of 8 Unlikely 80s Icons
Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
