According to First Alert 4, Leslie James III, 18, is facing 31 counts of stealing-related offenses after a series of smash-and-grab robberies across the St. Louis area. James has been charged with 8 counts of second-degree burglary, 3 counts, of attempted burglary, 11 counts of felony property damage, and 8 counts of misdemeanor stealing. Additionally, he was charged with a count of tampering with a motor vehicle, per First Alert 4.
It looks like he was pretty busy on this crime spree. First Alert 4 reports that James and two others went to 9 businesses in St. Louis where they smashed windows and stole property (or attempted to). It's also been reported that James was driving a stolen vehicle and someone in the group was armed with a gun.
To make things even worse, police say James was wearing a GPS bracelet while the crimes were being committed. Examining data from the technology showed that James was at each of those businesses on the day and time of these robberies. That makes for a pretty easy case. He's really making things easy on the prosecutor. How can you not think about that? You can't be wearing one of those! Having your phone on you would be bad enough, but wearing GPS technology that literally tracks your every movement while committing crimes is a terrible idea.
Check out a video report of the crimes below from FOX 2 St. Louis.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
