Bon Jovi: See Full Official Trailer to Hulu Docuseries
Bon Jovi, from its early beginnings to its highs and lows, are all touched on in the full trailer for the Hulu docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.
The full trailer offers a more in-depth look at what fans can expect from the highly anticipated four-part docuseries. In addition to new interviews with the band, Bruce Springsteen is featured in the full trailer, where he talks about his fellow New Jersey icons.
When he first appears, Springsteen says, “There’s some young around here from New Jersey who’s making some noise.” In his second appearance, The Boss says, “Jon’s choruses demand to be sung by 20,000 people in an arena.”
As with any deep dive into a massive rock band, plenty will be said about wild partying. Jon Bon Jovi says at one point, “Anything that every one of those bands talks about, we did. It was fun, and I thought everybody else was enjoying it, too.”
Cut to former guitarist Richie Sambora with playfully says, “Wrong!”
How Will The Bon Jovi Docuseries Address Richie Sambora’s Exit?
Hulu isn’t going to give all of this away in the trailer, but it seems to hint that Sambora’s sudden exit from Bon Jovi will be dealt with head-on.
At the trailer’s beginning, Sambora says, “I’m excited. Are we telling the truth, or are we going to lie? What are you going to do?” Later, the guitarist says regarding leaving the band, “I don’t regret leaving, but I regret how I did it.” JBJ is then heard saying, “Nobody expected Richie to quit in the middle of the night.”
Of course, Sambora left Bon Jovi in 2013. At the time, he cited wanting to spend more time with his daughter, Ava, who is now 26. There’s a good chance Sambora will offer additional details about his exit in the docuseries.
The last time Sambora spoke on the potential of rejoining Bon Jovi was in September 2023 on an episode of Shred with Shifty, a podcast hosted by Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett. Sambora said he and Jon Bon Jovi have spoken on the phone about it. He added, “There’s a demand out there for it, especially outside of the USA.”
Thank You. Goodnight will hit Hulu on Friday, April 26.
