What’s the key to a happy relationship? Well, some would say “happy wife, happy life.” Others say it’s all about compromise. Now, one couple on TikTok is sharing their controversial rules for staying together.
Of course, these are going viral for a reason. Is it because they work? Or is it because there’s no way anyone would want to try this? Let’s find out!
TikTok Couple Shares ‘Controversial Rules’ For Staying Together
TikTok couple @jadenandandy took to the social media app to share what works for them. However, some people on the internet are saying their suggestions are invasive and off-putting.
See, some people would consider these rules “red flags.” They come off as controlling and an invasion of privacy. However, they say it’s what works for them.
What are some of the couple’s controversial rules for staying together? They include, “constantly sharing their location on Life 360, sharing all their passwords, having no secrets, and not hanging with the opposite gender alone.”
It’s great to have a relationship with trust. However, this could take it a little too far. If you have to have all of these rules in place, there’s no trust. You’re left with just a bunch of rules. Are you in a relationship or stuck at work?
Personally, I feel like this crosses the line. I think it’s good to address boundaries in a relationship. You always want to make sure you’re looking after each other’s needs, wants, and feelings. It’s important to respect each other at all times. But setting strict rules for your relationship is sure to create problems.
I wonder if they really both agreed to these terms or if one of them is leading the charge. I’d find it hard to believe they are both on the same page with this and have been all along. Certainly, some sort of incident had to start all of these rules.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
