Josh Homme and Dave Grohl are obviously close, but clearly, their friendship runs deep.

Homme detailed their bond in a new interview with the Los Angeles TimesHe alludes to his ex-wife, Distillers singer Brody Dalle, as "the love of my life" and being grateful for their relationship because it led to their three children. However, when Grohl is brought up, Homme refers to the Foo Fighters frontman as "the other love of my life."

Homme says, "You don’t have a real relationship with somebody unless you can tell them to shut up at some point. And we have shut each other up in the most loving ways."

He also touches on how the two of them have grown closer during recent tough times in their lives. Homme went through a very public divorce and custody battle with Dalle. Meanwhile, Grohl went through a brutal 2022, losing bandmate Taylor Hawkins and his mother, Virginia.

Homme also mentions how they both would visit each other unannounced in recent years, because they both could tell when the other was down and needed comfort. The Queens of the Stone Age leader says he loves being able to be there for Grohl and that the two are closer now than ever before.

Grohl's Latest Good Deed

We bet it would be pretty easy to become friendly with Dave Grohl, because he really just seems like a great guy. The latest example of this came just this past week.

During an off day on the Foo Fighters' tour in Australia, Grohl used his time to cook up some BBQ for homeless people in Melbourne.

Grohl partnered with the local non-profit organization The Big Umbrella. Together, they cooked and serveed over 400 meals to those in need. The organization wrote via Instagram, "Our friends on the street were treated to an epic American style bbq with all the trimmings prepared by rock legend Dave Grohl of the @foofighters."

The Big Umbrella added, "The vibe was at an all-time high at Fed Square for this very special one-off lunch feast. It will be a day 'our friends on the streets' will never forget as they brushed up against a rock legend and one of the nicest guys on the planet who genuinely cares for people in need. No words can fully capture the impact of this positive experience."

Dave Grohl hasn’t just given us some of our favorite music of the past three decades; he’s also provided us with some of rock’s best viral moments.

Honestly -- and this isn’t hyperbole in any way -- but Dave Grohl is simply magic. To celebrate his birthday (January 14), we gathered ten of our favorite viral moments from the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer below.

But First...Some Other Reasons Why We Love Dave Grohl!

Narrowing down a list of Grohl's best viral moments to ten is really hard. Frankly, it seems like he's always doing the coolest stuff. If you don't believe us, here are just a handful of funny things he's done in the past couple of years:

Impersonating Christopher Walken introducing the Foo Fighters as the musical guest on 'Saturday Night Live.'

This video is just too hilarious for words. Grohl's impression of Christopher Walken is spot on and will make you literally LOL.

When the Foo Fighters played a special show for the town of Cesena, Italy after their own viral mass jam of 'Learn To Fly.'

Imagine organizing a massive jam session of "Learn To Fly" and having it go viral. Now, imagine the Foo Fighters coming to your town to play a special show because of your viral video. Just amazing!

Falling off stage in Sweden and breaking his leg only to return and finish the gig.

This might be one of Grohl's most legendary moments. It's still amazing that he fell off the stage, broke his leg and then returned to finish the show. Simply unreal!

    His drum-off with Animal.

Two of the most iconic drummers in one video? What's not to love?!

Fakes falling off the stage at the same venue where he fell off stage and broke his leg.

Grohl loves a good joke. Frankly, it doesn't get any funnier than this hysterical moment of him faking falling off stage at the same venue where he broke his leg from falling off stage.

Busking at Pike Place Market in Seattle with Brandi Carlile.

Grohl once literally took to the streets with Brandi Carlile to do a little busking. Just imagine walking down the street in Seattle only to see those two playing together.

Tipping $333 on a bar tab so the bill's total could be $666.

This is quite the flex. Of course, if some of us had Dave Grohl money, we'd totally do the same.

Chugs a beer on stage and almost falls off...again!

This is definitely a fun clip. However, considering his history of falling off stages, perhaps Dave should be a little more careful moving forward.

Brings guitar to a blind child to play with during Foo Fighters gig.

Nothing to see here! Just Dave Grohl being a great guy, so basically just another day for him.

Playing 'Satan' during a 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' bit.

We definitely understand why it's fun to cast Grohl as "Satan." Unfortunately, he's such a nice guy that it's hard to imagine him going method as The Devil.
