Politicians are always worried about leaks. However, what they often forget is to mute their mic while they’re taking a leak. Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy failed to hit mute before going to the bathroom during a conference.
The embarrassing hot mic incident led to thousands of people hearing him go to the bathroom. Now, we all need to use this as a learning moment.
Vivek Ramaswamy Forgets To Mute Mic In Bathroom
According to TMZ, The Presidential Candidate was in a Spaces chat on X (formerly Twitter) with Elon Musk. Alex Jones, and other conservative media members. At one point, as Jones was talking you could hear a familiar stream coming from Vivek’s microphone.
After some discussion around the noise Ramaswamy got called out as the one responsible. He apologized for the mistake and Elon Musk joked that he hopes he’s now feeling better. Check out the video below.
Vivek remains in the running for the Republican nomination. He’s now in competition with Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, and former President Donald Trump.
Busted On Hot Mic
This is a lesson we can all learn from. We’re on Zoom calls daily and are very capable of making this mistake. I would rather have the entire Zoom meeting shaming me telling me “you’re on mute!” than to go to the bathroom without hitting that mute button. Some mistakes are more embarrassing than others. I’ll take the one where people don’t hear me using the bathroom.
Several incidents like this went viral back in 2020 and 2021 when we were first becoming familiar with the Zoom lifestyle. People were busted doing all sorts of different things, quickly teaching us what not to do while on a conference call. There were teachers who were allegedly caught degrading students on a hot mic and more.
Basically, before you go to the bathroom during a conference call please make sure you’re on mute. If you can’t make sure, maybe wait until the call if over to be safe. This is not what you want to go viral for. Especially in the middle of a Presidential campaign.

The Rock: Should He Run For President? Twitter Reacts
After Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson left the door open to a future presidential run, Twitter had split reactions to the idea. Johnson, 50, said he’s been “blown away” by the calls for him to launch a White House bid, but maintained that his focus at the moment is raising his family. The Black Adam star told CNN in an interview Tuesday (October 11), “I’m just really grounded and humbled by the interest on both sides. But the number one job, and my number one title, that I love right now is daddy.”
Asked if that meant he was running for president down the line, Johnson left the door open. “I have seriously considered it. You have to. When you start looking at some of these polls, and these numbers creep up into the 46%, 50% of the country would vote for me should I run, and I have been – I’ve been really moved by that,” he said. “I mean, truly, it sat me down.” One poll from 2021 found 58% of Americans would have liked to see Johnson as the next president of the United States. In the same poll, 58% said they would support actor Matthew McConaughey.
Though he is moved by the support, the former WWE superstar said, “I don’t know anything about politics. I will say that I am a patriot and I love our country and I love everybody in it, regardless of color or culture. Don’t care what your bank account says or what kind of car you drive.”
Johnson said his most important job right now is “daddy, “taking care of his two little girls: Jasmine Lia, 6, and Tiana Gia, 4, with his wife Lauren Hashian. Johnson also has a 21-year-old daughter, Simone Alexandra, from a previous marriage to Dany Garcia.
Last week (October 7), Johnson told CBS Sunday Morning that running for president is now “off the table” because it requires “the B-side to this.” He went on to say being a daddy is so important in this “critical time” in his daughters’ lives because he knows what it’s like to be too busy on the road and being “absent for a lot of years” in his first daughter’s life. “That’s what the presidency will do,” he concludes.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
