Everything Detroit – Fueled By Celsius Essential Energy Drinks

Check out the latest playlist for Sunday nights edition of Motor City Riffs. Listen to all the Michigan made bands and artists who let us play their music!

Every Sunday, from 9pm-10pm on Detroit’s 101 WRIF, our goal is to showcase some of the best up and coming local bands with Motor City Riffs. This Sunday, I think it’s safe to say we shall accomplish that goal. Detroit is home of some of the most iconic names in Rock and Roll, and we could be finding the next big thing.

This week, Nate is out of town; so, I (Cort Freeman, hey how are ya?) will be flying Solo like Han. We have a great variety on the show this week, featuring some new bands and some familiar friends, as well. We will have some metal, some grunge, and everywhere in between and outside. If you like rock, there’s definitely something for you on the playlist this week.

Closing the show this week will be Frame 42. If that name doesn’t already ring a bell, you should start familiarizing yourself with them. They’ll be kicking off Riff Fest with us this year, and I can’t wait.

If you didn’t already know, Motor City Riffs airs on 101 WRIF every Sunday night from 9pm-10pm and if you’d like your band to be featured on a future edition, it’s totally possible! Please send your MP3 and info about your band to MCR@wrif.com and you’ll be submitted to have your stuff played. Please make sure that you are a band from Michigan, or with ties to the area, and that your stuff is clean. If it’s explicit, it won’t get played.

Without further delay, here are the tracks and local bands that will be featured on this week’s edition of MCR!

If you also like supporting local music from our Detroit community, make sure to follow Motor City Riffs on Facebook! We love connecting and finding the best and upcoming local artists to showcase on the show. If you and your band would like to be featured, don’t be afraid to reach out! Even if you’ve seen a great local band while out, let us know! We can be reached at MCR@wrif.com. We are always accepting submissions to be featured on future episodes of the show, so make sure to send an MP3 of your stuff!

What an awesome night of rock and roll from the Motor City! Don’t forget, if you and your Michigan-based band would like to be featured on a future episode of Motor City Riffs, we want to hear it. Send your stuff to MCR@wrif.com! If it’s explicit, please make sure to give us a heads up or send an edited version that’s radio friendly, otherwise it won’t be eligible to be played. So, don’t do that!

Cort and Nate will be back next Sunday on 101 WRIF putting the spotlight on more rocking local music from 9pm-10pm! To check out previous playlists of Motor City Riffs, click here!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That's thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he's not trying to make you laugh, he's probably at home laughing at his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He's also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in third person.
