J.D. Power recently published a report that provides information on the most common car that is sold in each state. In this case, the most popular car in Michigan happens to be a pickup truck.
There are numerous factors involved in deciding what car you want to buy. For example, some of the most common purchasing decisions include budget, insurance costs, occupation, and family size. “By looking at the most popular vehicles sold by the state, you can get a better idea of what car models are well-suited for your state’s unique geography and culture,” J.D. Power says.
Forbes recently explained how car ownership has increased by 3.66% between 2017 – 2021. Furthermore, “Most U.S. households (91.7%) had at least one vehicle in 2021 (the latest data available), and 22.1% of households had three or more vehicles,” the Forbes piece explains.
In J.D. Power’s feature, they show a pickup truck to be the top choice in 26 different states. Of those, 16 states preferred the Ford F-150 truck. Michigan is one of them.
The Ford F-150
"The F-150 is a tough, reliable pickup truck that can handle the snow, ice, and mud that are common in Michigan," J.D. Power explains.
The F Series has been manufactured by Ford since 1948. Currently, Ford offers a F150, F250, and F350. The increased number reflects a larger framed pickup truck.
Forbes' data analysis showed that, "The Ford F-Series is the most popular vehicle model nationwide, based on 2022 sales. A whopping 653,957 Ford F-Series pickups were sold in 2022."
Given Ford is headquartered in Dearborn, it appears Michigan is loyal to this hometown manufacturer, with the F-150 being the most popular car in the state. If you are thinking about getting an F-150, it comes in nine different color options. In addition, the F-150 has eight different models, ranging from a standard edition to a platinum. Lastly, the F-150 Raptor model has become increasingly popular. This sporty off-road edition has extra-wide fenders, bigger tires, and black wheels.
Ranking The Most Unique Ford Bronco Color Options
After a 25-year hiatus, Ford Bronco released its sixth generation model in 2021. With six different trim levels, these models hit the market in two- and four-door variations. Here, we are ranking the most interesting Ford Bronco colors.
The new Bronco body type has characteristics of the old traditional styles from the '60s and '70s. The vibrant color options allow this SUV to truly stand out on the road. It's a direct competitor of the legendary Jeep Wrangler.
Ford's color options are a mix of traditional Bronco colors and new flashy looks unavailable in a Wrangler. Furthermore, these colors can accommodate either a hard or soft top.
The Bronco Sport, the smaller model, is also available in the same colors as the larger, more rugged Big Bend, Outerbanks, or Badlands model. Now, the limited edition Sport Heritage model offers a few exclusive colors.
Current Color Options
For 2023, there are 11 color options listed for a new Bronco. With the Sport Heritage Limited in the mix, there are 14 Bronco colors to pick from.
Methodology
Narrowing down to the four best was no simple task. However, when isolating four that are considered unique in color, that immediately illuminated the standards. Shadow Black, Carbon Gray, Oxford White, and Silver were the first to be crossed off. Then, we considered colors that make you say "wow" when driving by. The final list ranks only the Ford Bronco colors we consider to be unique. This does not necessarily mean it is an exclusive Ford color. It's simply the five that give the sixth edition Bronco the most character.
With summer around the corner, there's a good chance you will see a few of these Broncos cruising around with the top down.
#5 Hot Pepper Red
Available in all Bronco models, hot pepper red is the perfect way to describe this flashy look.
". Jack White agrees, having recently shown off his two custom models. Paired with the large off-road tires, this is one sharp looking automobile.
#4 Yellowstone
A shade of yellow that is perfectly described by its name. Yellowstone is one of three colors that is only available in the Sport Heritage Limited. This model has a white roof, a white grill with red lettering, and white wheel caps.
#3 Eruption Green
This metallic shade of green pays tribute to the green Bronco color that was available in the first edition back in the 1970s. This color was not part of the original release in 2021. Now, it has become one of the more popular Bronco colors on the road.
#2 Cyber Orange
This just screams cool. It's the perfect flair of Bronco tradition mixed with a modern upgrade. Cyber seems accurate to describe a 2023 color, especially when the vehicle has a bottle opener and cooler capability.
#1 Area 51
Is it blue? Is it green? Is it gray? Does it matter? Since the 2021 release, this area 51 has been a popular color in all models. Its strong tints allow it give off different shades in different lights. It was such a fan-favorite that Ford now made the color an option on its best selling truck, the F-150.
