How can we already be coming up on the end of summer concert season? Say it isn't so. I don't know about you, but I honestly don't feel like I've been able to enjoy the summer this year. I've been outside, but it's gone quickly, and where I live, it's been a cooler summer than normal. I've also only made it to one concert this summer. But, the great news is that it was a fantastic one. I saw Staind and Godsmack at Pine Knob around my birthday, and both bands were fantastic. Well, as it turns out, the last show at Pine Knob this season is a banger. Of course, I mean that in a good way.
Before we get to the last show, let's talk about the second to last show at Pine Knob for the season. It's Riff Fest 2023, featuring I Prevail, Bad Omens, Badflower, Rival Sons, and Giovannie and the Hired Guns. Also, the Riff Fest Festival Stage will have Des Rocs, TigerCub, and BRKN Love. I’m really excited for this year’s event. Bad Omens is one of my newer favorite bands.
Now, onto the last show. It's a very late-in-the-season one, too. Do you remember that Avenged Sevenfold's show this summer got postponed due to weather? Well, they've rescheduled that show for Oct. 18 at Pine Knob. It's going to be so fun and crazy to see a show at Pine Knob that late in the season. It's almost extending the season a month. I'm not a big fan of lots of heat at a concert, so I think an outdoor concert on Oct. 18 sounds perfect. Find all the information on the rescheduled Avenged Sevenfold show here. By the way, I would love to hear about your favorite concerts of the year. Reach out to me (Anne Erickson) here and let me know. Here's to next summer.
Summer concert season is officially here, and it's time to enjoy the outdoor shows that we've all been waiting on for months and months. So, are they any new trends in clothing and concert looks for this year?
Certain items of clothing are always prefect to wear to a concert, no matter the era. I mean, people have been wearing band tees to concerts since the beginning of time. Maybe not the beginning of time, but you know what I mean. Of course, the kind of band tee you wear will change depending on the concert. A few years back, I was the only one at a Matchbox Twenty concert wearing an Iron Maiden tee. I got a lot of looks! I was going to the concert because some friends wanted to go, and it was great, but not really my scene, so it was definitely funny to wear a metal tee.
I've looked through some trendy stores to find some concert looks for this season. Check out some options below. Of course, music is all about self-expression. So, wear whatever you want to a show. Even if you wear the band T-shirt of the band you're seeing in concert, just go for it, and wear it with pride. Reach out to me with your concert looks here.
Concert Looks:
Concert Looks
I love this look and totally wish I could pull it off. The black and red hair streaks are perfect for a summer metal show. And, of course, the Rammstein tee is a great pick.
Concert Looks
Band T-shirts are a classic look. You really can't go wrong with an awesome band tee. I personally like wearing my Mastodon shirts to concerts, because I always get compliments. :)
Concert Looks
This is a nice pick for a summer festival or concert without super heavy music. I mean, don't wear this to a Hatebreed show, you know? Just saying.
Concert Looks
This is a simple but edgy look. Lots of black, with a few color accents. And the Spider-Man look is trendy.
Concert Looks
These are unique sports shirts. But, even if you have just normal sports clothing, that works for a summer show. I've seen plenty of Tigers and Lions jerseys are outdoor shows.
