A couple from the UK had a scary experience during a recent sailing lesson on the Straight of Gibraltar.
The couple were taking a course to get some more experience sailing but this was not what they expected. The boat the couple were sailing on was attacked by 6 killer whales.
On top of the orcas attacking the ship they were also dealing with some rough choppy water so the whole trip was terrifying. The orcas chased the ship for an hour before finally giving up.
The whales smashed the rudder of the boat which caused the ship’s steering to fail.
Things settled down and everyone made it home safe. No word on why the orcas attacked the ship.
