Planet Fitness: Free Memberships For Teens This Summer
Planet Fitness wants to help keep teens healthy this summer. So, they’re bringing back its High School Summer Pass Program for its third year. They will allow teens to work out in its gyms for free.
Starting May 15th through Aug. 31, teens between the ages of 14 to 19 can work out for free all summer. This includes any of the 2,400 Planet Fitness locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Eligible teens can visit Planet Fitness’ website to register for the program, which will allow them access to the gyms. Teens under the age of 18 in the U.S. and 19 in Canada will have to register with a guardian either online or at one of its locations.
According to Planet Fitness’ website, teens who register can help win a grant for their school and participate in a video contest for a chance to win a scholarship. Ten lucky students who submit their videos via TikTok will win $10,000.
Fitness for children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 years old should get an average of 60 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity says the World Health Organization (WHO).
