Michigan Collectors: The History Channel Wants You
The History Channel and their popular show “American Pickers” are coming to Michigan this July. If you’re a collector, they would love to have you get in touch to see if you’re a fit for the show. How cool would it be to have your personal collection featured on the small screen?
This is obviously a great opportunity for exposure for any collector. A producer from the show tells use that they’re “looking for leads throughout the state, specifically interesting characters with fascinating items!” They emphasized that they are “looking for different, unusual, and unique items – something we’ve never seen before with an extraordinary story.”
So, how do you get the opportunity? According to the production, collectors interested in being considered for the show should reach out to them via phone at (646) 493-2184 or email at AmericanPickers@cineflix.com. Make sure to include your full name, city/state, contact information, and a brief description of your collection. Also, remember that the show only features private collections, so no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses, or anything open to the public. I know of quite a few friends who have really cool collections, and if you know of someone, too, send this story along.
