Michigan Zoo Offers ‘Happy-Hour’ Zoo Nights
Spring is here, and summer is on the way. It’s the perfect time to visit a Michigan zoo. Of course, the Mitten has plenty of great zoos across the state in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing and beyond.
One of those Michigan zoos is bringing back it’s “happy-hour style” zoo night. It’s a fun event for adults, because zoos aren’t just for kids.
Zoo Nights are coming back to Potter Park Zoo in Lansing. The event offers food from local restaurants, as well as adult beverages. Attendees must be 21 or older to attend, and the event happens after-hours, so it doesn’t take away from the kiddies’ time at the zoo. Visitors are welcome to visit with the animals and play yard games with their friends and other attendees.
Zoo Nights is a great way for attendees to get special access to the zoo after-hours and enjoy the animals, who will be out to play (in their respective areas, of course). It’s also fun to try the samples of food and beverages from local restaurants.
Zoo Nights will take place May 11, June 15, July 20, and Aug. 17 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tickets are $20. For more information and to purchase tickets, go here. This is certainly a unique way to spend the evening: at a zoo with drinkies.
