Summer is on the way, and that means it's going to be the grilling season in Michigan. Of course, BBQ ribs are a fantastic choice for spring and summer dinners, and now, one restaurant in Michigan has been named the best for BBQ ribs in the state. That's a pretty big honor, since the Great Lakes State has so many BBQ spots available.
The crew at LoveFood has put together a list of the best BBQ ribs in each state. "A quintessential American food, barbecue ribs usually refers to racks of St. Louis or baby back pork ribs, or sometimes beef ribs," they state in the article. "At their best, the meat is seasoned to perfection, slowly smoked until a dark crust forms, and then smothered in a sweet, sticky glaze."
According to the story, LoveFood based their choices on "user reviews, awards, and accolades, and the first-hand experience of our team. They're also regularly checked and updated." It's pretty lucky that some of their team member were able to go across the country and try all the delicious BBQ rib options available. Can we say, yum?
So, which restaurant in Michigan serves up the very best BBQ ribs? According to LoveFood, it's AB's Amazing Ribs in Dearborn Heights Sounds. That's a popular one, so it's not a big surprise that it's No. 1. Of the spot, they state, "Halal barbecue Ab’s Amazing Ribs is all about tender and tasty beef back ribs – you definitely won't find pork here. The barbecue sauce isn't too overpowering, which is great because the meat barely needs it at all. The restaurant gives customers plastic gloves to eat with, which is a trend we can get on board with." Delicious, right?
