Michigan is Getting Its First Guy Fieri Restaurant

The famed Guy Fieri and Michigan-based company The Tomey Group are opening a new chicken spot, Chicken Guy! in Livonia. The grand opening is April 1. This marks the restaurant's first location in Michigan.

The new Chicken Guy! in Livonia will mark the chain's eighth location. According to a release, "Chicken Guy! Livonia will be the first location in Michigan with another 19 locations scheduled to be opening in southeast Michigan within a couple years, under the partnership of The Tomey Group." Also, this partnership makes The Tomey Group the largest franchise partner in the country.

"The people of The Motor City have spoken…I’m bringin’ my real deal chicken tenders, sandwiches, and shakes to Livonia. From shooting DDD to taking part in the Woodward Dream Cruise, the Detroit area has always been a go-to for me, so I’m stoked for everyone to give us a try. See ya there!" Fieri said in a statement.

"We are excited to announce the opening of the first Chicken Guy! in Michigan and partner with one of our favorite chefs and TV personalities, Guy Fieri," added Anthony Tomey, CEO, The Tomey Group. "The food and variety of sauces is made with the expertise from Guy, that you can only imagine how delicious the food is. This is just the first location of many, as we have plans to expand to all over Southeast Michigan.” Michael Tomey CFO, The Tomey Group added, “Guy Fieri and Robert Earl are renowned when it comes to quality food and restaurants, so we are thrilled to be able to partner with them and bring Michigan the opportunity to experience Chicken Guy!” As for the menu, expect a mix of "Fieri's fan favorites, including signature sandwiches, chicken tender combos, salad bowls, and all the special sauces. The menu at Chicken Guy! will feature one-of-a-kind all-natural fresh chicken tenders, hand-pounded to maximize crunch and paired with a wide selection of delicious sauces. Brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine, buttermilk, and infused with fresh herbs, these tenders deliver on flavor and texture." The restaurant will be located at 30130 Plymouth Road, Livonia. There's just something super entertaining about Fieri, and the show is so fun to watch. What's extra cool is that Fieri has come to Michigan multiple times and picked local restaurants to highlight on the show.
