You might find it hard to believe, but I kind of just discovered Slayer in the last decade or so. I saw them for the first time on the famous 1991 "Clash of the Titans" tour with Megadeth, Anthrax and a very young, unknown band called Alice In Chains.
This was the thrash giants 5th album, which came out in October of 1990. Clocking in at 42:27, they cram a lot of metal into a little space.
Check out the video, as I talk about the best time I ever saw them live.
