Pink Floyd Releases Details on ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ Box Set

Pink Floyd unveiled details on the highly-anticipated 50th anniversary edition box set for their landmark album The Dark Side of the Moon.

The box set contains a bunch extras including the following:

-CD and vinyl editions of the original album with remastered audio.
-Blu-ray and DVD audio of multiple mix variation of the original album.
-CD and vinyl editions of The Dark Side of the Moon: Live at Wembley Empire Pool, London 1974
-160-page hardcover book: Contains rare black and white photographs from the 1973 – 1974 tours of the UK and the USA.
-76-page music book: Complete songbook of original album.
-Replica 7″ singles of “Money”/”Any Colour You Like” and “Us and Them”/”Time”

As expected, this box set isn’t cheap and has a retail price of $299.98. It’s currently available for pre-order at Shop.PinkFloyd.com with an expected ship date of March 21. Also available for purchase are a number of commemorative merch pieces honoring the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side of the Moon. Included in the merch offerings are t-shirts, hoodies, mugs and glassware.

As previously reported, a commemorative book celebrating the album’s 50th anniversary is also set for release on March 7. Thames & Hudson currently has a listing on its website for the book, which covers the lengthy tour in support of The Dark Side of the Moon.
