The Cleveland Browns have a new defensive coordinator, and it’s a familiar name to Detroit Lions fans.
If you’ve been following the Lions for a few decades, then you’ll know this guy.
According to multiple reports, the Browns are hiring current Tennessee Titans senior defensive assistant Jim Schwartz to serve as their new defensive coordinator. He’s a Baltimore native and started his career with the NFL in 1993 in Cleveland as a personnel scout with the Browns.
In 2009, he was hired as the head coach of the Detroit Lions. During his five seasons as the Lions head coach, he had a 29-51 record. His best season with Detroit was in 2011, when the Lions went 10-6 and got their first playoff appearance since the 1999 season.
