This Is The Most Haunted City In Michigan – Meltdown
Best haunted houses in America
So, what’s Michigan’s most haunted city? They say that your chances of seeing a spirit are the highest in this area. Apparently, it’s Monroe. I mean, it is the location for the Michigan Museum of Horror, right? They say, and I’ve heard this too, that the old dilapidated Old Paper Mill in town was very active. The building is unsafe to enter for structural reasons, so I wouldn’t recommend going in there anytime soon.
According to Todd Bonner from Detroit Paranormal Expeditions “The Old Paper Mill has a very angry spirit that will actually scream at people that enter. An out worldly scream! Kind of like a high-pitched shrill”. He went on to say that it’s also the location of the River Raisin battlefield, the battle of Frenchtown, that took place in 1813. “The amount of death that’s taken place there has saturated the area.” Jeff Adkins from DPX agreed “With so much that’s happened there over the past 250 years, it’s not surprising that there’s been a huge amount of paranormal occurrences there”
Right between Detroit and the Ohio border, Monroe has experienced a whopping 48 paranormal sightings. This information is according to GreatLakesStakes.com.

Throughout the month of October, I did a podcast/videocast called Haunted Michigan. I talked to some of the best paranormal people in the state. Each one had different stories, and tingling tales from everywhere from Detroit to the U.P.. It was an interesting, and very entertaining project.
