Dating trends come and go. Some are okay, most just lead to more red flags than you'd see at a 4th of July used car sale.

We've all heard of 'cuffing season' where you find someone to hunker down with during the winter months. Another trend I don't support for a number of reasons. You end up in a toxic relationship during the months you could still be out at the bar with your friends, you end up with someone you find utterly annoying after 3 weeks, you end up with someone who likes you way more than you like them etc. The truth is, you shouldn't be entering into a relationship based on the weather. I'm no dating expert, but it seems like you should only commit to a relationship if you both mutually have feelings for each other and aren't using some manipulation tactic to keep someone around

So what is 'winter coating' and why should you avoid it?

'Winter coating' is worse than 'cuffing season.' 'Winter coating' is where you reach back out to a former fling for companionship during the winter months and then one of you discards the other like you do your winter coat come spring time. Seems like a pretty bad idea if you ask me. The truth is, they're a former fling for a reason. It's a new year! Put yourself first! Do not, under any circumstances, go back to an ex because you're lonely. It almost never works out. Listen, we're not J Lo and Ben Affleck.

Moral of the story is, we don't give great dating advice, but we'll call out a red flag when we see it and anything to do with 'winter coating' is a red flag! Avoid it at all costs!

Some were hot, some were definitely not. We're looking back at all of them as we wrap up 2022!

Two Woman and a Glitter Attack

Glitter bombs were all the rage for a minute there. A devious way to ruin someone's day. Turns out you can't break into someone's place to glitter them and these ladies took it a step further.

Woman Arrested After Exposing Herself to Cops

Feels like we say this every year, but do not, under any circumstances expose yourself to people. No one wants that.

Odd Place to Show Up Nude

The list of places you can show up nude is pretty short. Your court appearance is certainly NOT on it.

How Do You Lose Your Pants?!

We still want to know how she lost her pants.

Don't Let the Headline Fool You

Spitting is gross. Don't spit on people. That being said, she did a little more than just spit at them.

File this Under "Also Illegal If You're A Cop"

Don't drink and drive, people.

Should Have Used Her Good Looks More Wisely

She had to turn herself in after her mugshot went viral.

Another Case of 'Where's My Pants'

Weird place to store your pants, just saying.

British Breakfast Gone Wrong

Seriously, would have made a nice little breakfast in the U.K. had she not thrown it at him. Side note, this didn't happen across the pond.

What Year Did This Happen?!

Who carries around a pitchfork anymore?

Seriously, Stop Exposing Yourself

The list of places you can expose yourself is also small. The county pool is not on that list.

Don't Kick a Cop in the Balls

Seems like a bad idea, right?

Jade was born and raised in Detroit Rock City and grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, The Who, Tom Petty, etc. In high school she tried multiple different styles from cheerleader to goth but couldn’t do gymnastics and couldn’t get her eyeliner dark enough. She settled on jeans and a t-shirt, playing sports and making normal situations overly awkward. When she’s not making bad jokes on the radio you can find her shanking golf balls into the woods on the golf course and drinking beers at the bar. She has a strict two shot limit when it comes to tequila. Jade enjoys writing and talking about everything happening in Detroit Rock City, our Detroit sports teams, golf, and her fear of robots.
