Planes, Trains & Automobiles is not only a great Thanksgiving movie, it’s one of my all-time favorites. I was a projectionist in a local theater when this movie first came out. I would always sneak into the theater while the other movies were rolling to watch different scenes from this classic. The car rental scene, THOSE AREN”T PILLOWS, on and on.
Plus, some of this movie was filmed by where I grew up, in western New York.
Below is a package put together five years ago, as the film turned 30. On the 25th it turns 25! Man….how did I get a job as a projectionist at the age of 4?!?!
Here’s some insight into scenes that never made the final product. Really fascinating.
