Rockin’ the Red Kettle Kick Off – Screamin’ Scott
What an incredible night it was this past Friday in Detroit to light the world’s tallest red kettle at our Metro Detroit 2022 Red Kettle Campaign kickoff right before the Downtown Detroit Partnership Tree Lighting.
Also, besides being the host and MC for a portion of the festivities, I was doing double duty as the lead singer for a special performance from Live Band Karaoke Detroit, plus delicious Detroit-style pizza from our Red Kettle Pizza Partner Buddy’s Pizza.
Here are a few pictures from our show at Campus Martius- The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division kick off this year’s Rock the Red Kettle campaign! The night was a bit crisp and cold, but all that disappeared when you were on stage in front of so many people. My highlight was screamin’ out a Chuck Berry classic, “Run run Rudolf .” The crowd was well-informed that I was a professional amateur singer. It was nice to have the crowd sing back to you and grab some holiday spirit!
