Ann Wilson is the first person to join Disturbed on a track on any of their albums. I asked Dan Donegan about this, and more when he was in town for RIFF Fest in September. "Early in our career we really wanted to establish ourselves. We didn't talk about it much, but this is the band. Not they we were ever against it, but this far along in our career, we're trying to push ourselves, to do stuff different, musically and there's so much talent out there. So many people we'd love to do collaborations with."  He went onto say that Ann talked about in an interview, and they saw it on Twitter.  "A few years back some asked her if there was any new music out there that she's a fan of. She mentioned that she really loved our version of 'The Sound Of Silence'. That kinda opened the door to a social media friendship between her and David a bit. And then when we wrote this song (Don't Tell Me) it kind of lent itself to Ann's voice. And to see that verge between her and David's voice...she jumped on the opportunity"

Well, here's the final product from Ann and the guys.

The new album is called Divisive, and is out now.
