The latest Slipknot album dropped last week, and physical copies have a typo of sorts. The album is called "The End, So Far," but the vinyl copies say "The End For Now." Of course, I had to snag this one for my collection. It's going to sound and look great on my turntable!

Looking Back at Knotfest 2019 featuring Slipknot, Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth

A hot day like today would of been a perfect day to sit inside with the AC cranked recovering from a night of head-banging to Slipknot. Yesterday (Monday June 8), would have been the Knotfest Road Show at DTE Energy Music Theatre featuring Slipknot, A Day To Remember, Underoath and Code Orange. Obviously due to covid-19 that did not happen but lets try and look on the bright side. With a lot more of the state opening up and restrictions being lifted we are getting even closer to shows coming back. Even bars are opening up and booking bands. So before you know it we will all be able to gather and lose our minds watching our favorite bands together once again. In the meantime we hope you can sit back and enjoy a look back at Knotfest 2019 featuring Slipknot, Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth.

Meltdown started on the mighty WRIF on the evening of Halloween, 1995. Technically, his first on-air shift was the morning of November 1st. Moving to the Motor City from Buffalo, N.Y., he has built a career and family. Over his almost three-decade stint at RIFF, he's had the privilege to work with some of the biggest personalities in Detroit radio history. He boasts of being just the second-afternoon drive jock in the station's illustrious 53-year history. Along with his love for rock music and attending concerts, he's also an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and hockey player. He plays year-round and manages to squeeze in a few charity games throughout the year. Meltdown writes about the Detroit Red Wings, rock music, and Detroit concert venues.
