Today's album is one that has played a big part of my life. There's always the question - the Beatles or Stones? I've always been a Beatles fan. I was a young kid discovering music when John Lennon was murdered. That grim moment had me scouring my dad's Beatle albums. This became one of my favorites.
A few years ago, my daughter got me a huge Abbey Road poster for my rock room. I love this album. It was really cool to see how some of these songs were crafted in the "Get Back" documentary, well.

Beatles Fans Honor ‘Abbey Road’ Photo Shoot Anniversary
The Beatles' Abbey Road photoshoot took place 50 years ago today (August 8), and fans marked the anniversary in grand fashion by invading the famous crosswalk.
Per NME, about 3,500 fans showed up to honor the photoshoot anniversary. Two fans even got engaged in the middle of the crosswalk, which can be seen in the gallery below.
Today also saw the announcement of the 50th anniversary reissue of Abbey Road, which is now available for pre-order at TheBeatles.com.
