Dan Campbell Proves He’s the Nicest Coach in the NFL with This Move
Oh, Dan. Just when I thought you couldn’t get any more likeable, you go and do this.
I mean, America has already been swooning over Dan Campbell on HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” He’s a super likeable, friendly guy- the kind of guy you’d want to hang out with after work and just talk and have a drink or two.
Sunday (Sept. 18), the Lions scored their first win of the regular season against the Washington Commanders. Jared Goff threw four touchdowns, Amon-Ra St. Brown nailed 184 all-purpose yards and Aidan Hutchinson had three sacks. That said, instead of these superstars, a practice squad player got lots of attention after the game, thanks to Campbell. As The Athletic’s Nick Baumgardner notes, “Dan Campbell sent reserve OL Dan Skipper to the podium before any player today — after the first W. Skipper’s been a PSquad guy here for a long time, does whatever’s asked. Played OG for the first time today and is now here to tell his tale. The Detroit Lions, folks.” Classy move. Very classy.
6⃣th year in the @NFL, making his first career start playing position he's never played in the league. @DanSkipper70 answered the challenge. pic.twitter.com/T9RN2lmEXc
