Steve Martin Says, ‘This Is Weirdly It’
Steve Martin has an outstanding career doing stand-up television, movies, and he even has an incredible band that tours around the country, showcasing Steve’s incredible banjo playing skills. Without mentioning the word retirement, it looks like Steve might be taking a break.
I still have three of his great comedy albums. In his beginning, I was fortunate enough to see Steve Martin live at Pine Knob back in the day- back in the wild and crazy guy days! I remember movies that stand the test of comedy time like The Jerk, Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid, Roxanne and L.A. Story. And I believe he holds the record for most appearances on Saturday Night Live as a host. It looks to be that after the recent success of his latest project, it’s time for a rest. Let’s hope it’s not permanent. Nowadays we need the laughter to keep us all sane!
