Screamin Scott and Steve Black

Please take a moment today to wish one of our own a very special happy birthday. Steve Black is one of a kind and someone I consider a good friend. In fact, if it wasn’t for Steve’s efforts, you might say there would be no Screamin’ Scott. It’s partly his fault lol!

After 10 years out of state in the ’80s and the early ’90s, I moved back to Detroit hoping to get a job in radio again. Steve was pinnacle in helping me get my first morning radio gig here in Detroit at Z Rock 102.7.

Steve’s love for music and dedication shows in his work. He has a vast knowledge of music and his great syndicated radio shows, and by far, I know of no other human being that owns more hockey jerseys than Steve. Thank you Steve for your friendship. I’m proud to work along side of you for many years to come.

Happy Birthday Detroit Radio’s Steve Black
