Ozzy and Tony Iommi’s Single, ‘Degradation Rules’ – Screamin’ Review
From the first note of the guitar that comes blasting through your speakers, listening to the new single from Ozzy Osbourne with Tony Iommi, “Degradation Rules,” you already know you’re listening to a masterpiece.
Just when I thought what was leading up to the vocals couldn’t get any better, Ozzy pulls out a harp reminiscent to Black Sabbath’s “Fairies Wear Boots,” and the song is on its way. The lyrics are upbeat, but I am already looking in my rearview mirror, finding myself way above the speed limit and really enjoying the second single from the forthcoming album, coming out Sept. 9, Patient Number 9.
If this is any indication of what the rest of the album and special guests still to come, I could only wish we had more time with Ozzy. Please let this not be his final chapter. Listing to this new song leaves me wanting more- something that I haven’t had music-wise in a long time.
