2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup of diced tomatoes onions Peppers mixed
1 8 oz. bag of pre crumbled bacon (just because)
1 loaf of party rye bread (or the cocktail rye squares can work for more appetizers)
Some fresh basil for and garnish

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven or toaster oven for 350°
In a bowl combined feta shredded cheese, olive oil, onions, tomatoes, peppers, bacon and a splash of sriracha is optional
Toast one side of the bread; then flip over. Then, spread the concoction evenly over the bread. Put on a cookie sheet in the oven 15 minutes or until the top of the cheese is golden brown.

This is one of my favorite party appetizers that could be made any time of the year. Just don’t tell my cardiologist.
