Carlos Santana collapsed on stage at Pine Knob Tuesday night (July 5) near Detroit, Michigan. Thankfully, representatives for his camp say it was heat exhaustion and he will recover. That said, Santana did recently cancel more dates on his current tour, with his manager Michael Vrionis issuing a statement saying the guitar great has postponed the next six dates on his “Miraculous Supernatural 2022 Tour” with Earth, Wind & Fire citing due to “…an abundance of caution for the artist’s health.”

However, just a few days after the collapse at Pine Knob, Santana was thankfully feeling better and even went shopping with his wife in Rochester.

The news comes from Elizabeth Cosetta Kincaid, who tells WDIV that she was driving home on Main Street Thursday (July 7) in Rochester and spotted Santana and his wife Cindy. “I looked, and I’m like ‘let me swing back around the block and see if what I’m seeing is actually what I’m seeing,” Kincaid told WDIV.

Kincaid told Santana that she was happy he was feeling better and requested to take a picture with the couple. They said yes. Then, Kincaid got back in the car and called her husband. “I’m on the phone with my husband, and I’m like, ‘you won’t ever believe who I just met, and I sent him the photo,’” Kincaid tells WDIV. “My husband was like, ‘you’ve got to be kidding me, go back and invite them to dinner.’” So, Kincaid actually did invite Santana to dinner. Even though he didn’t take them up on it, he was very gracious. Find the full story via WDIV here and watch the video below.
