Emoni Bates is Transferring to Eastern Michigan

Emoni Bates coming back home to continue his basketball career. The Ypsilanti native has announced that he’s transferring to Eastern Michigan for his sophomore season.
Bates made the news public via Instagram. Last season, he was in Memphis, following reclassifying and leaving high school basketball after three seasons. Before then, he had actually committed to play at Michigan State as the No. 1 recruit in the 2021 class.
Eastern Michigan’s record was 10-21 in 2021-22.
