Meltdown – Where My Harley Took Me – Clamdiggers In Monroe
Last summer I started a little thing where I’d post places my “Harley Davidson took me” on my Facebook and Instagram. It’s typically to out-of-the way places, no chains. I like locally owned ‘hole in the wall’ type of places.
That leads to me this post. Last summer a friend took me to Clamdiggers in Monroe. They’re known for their Mashed Potato Pizza. I went back this past Sunday, and as I did last year, I posted a picture on my socials of the pie. Well, like last year, the inquiries come in….how is the pizza? The answer: pretty damn good.
I’ll admit, it’s not something I could eat every week, but when I do, I love it. I can only handle two pieces before I feel the need to get on the workout bike. For those who haven’t had it yet, it’s a regular pizza, topped with mashed potatoes, covered with cheese and bacon bits. They give you some sour cream on the side, which puts it over the top.
Overall, I give it the stamp of approval, and I’m not alone. Each time I’ve been there, those things come out of the kitchen one after the next. That’s a cool place to ride to, right on the water. Oh, and riding through Monroe is pretty cool too. Great history down there!
If you know of a place like this that I should ride my Harley to, let me know. Hit me up on my socials @MeltdownWRIF or email me – [email protected]
