Father's Day

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19. Don’t forget to do something special for the dad or father figure in your life, because you know they deserve it.

My dad is seriously the best, so I’ve been trying to figure out what to give him for the special day. He’s difficult to buy for, because he’s very different from me, so it’s hard for me to read what he would want. For one, he didn’t even know who Metallica was until I introduced him to their music. Needless to say, when I told him one day, “Dad, I’m going to be interviewing Metallica!” he didn’t even really know what I meant.

If your dad is also difficult to buy for on Father’s Day, the crew at BobVila.com has determined the No. 1 most popular Father’s Day gift, based on Amazon sales. According to their tally, the No. 1 most popular Father’s Day gift of 2022 is the Ninja Air Fryer. “With more than 35,000 rave reviews, the Ninja air fryer is a no-brainer for any dad who likes to cook (or any dad who loves fried chicken or French fries),” they state. “He can whip up healthier versions of his favorite dishes in minutes and the frying basket is even dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.”

No. 2 on the list is the Putt-A-Bout Par Three Golf Putting Green, with the outlet stating, “Set Dad’s next tee time in the living room with this personal putting green with nearly 18,000 reviews. People like that it has a non-ski backing to hold it in place while you practice your swing and that it’s easy to roll up and put away when not in use.” The third item is something my dad would definitely like: a ThermoPro Digital Meat Thermometer. “Any dad who spends a lot of time by the grill will appreciate a quality meat thermometer,” BobVila.com states.
