Michigan Has the ‘Sexiest’ City in the U.S.
There’s no denying that Michigan has some good-looking folks. But, would you have guessed that one Michigan city has actually been deemed the “sexiest” in all of America? That notion does surprise me, but it’s true, according to a new study.
Pure Romance, the world’s “largest and fastest-growing woman-to-woman direct seller of relationship-enhancement products,” is the company that conducted the study. They determined the 25 sexiest U.S. cities but scoring on-line product sales, as well as net regional sales through its active consultants around the country. In other words, these are the cities buying the most sexy products.
As a side note, Pure Romance states that a survey by the Indiana University School of Public Health conducted during the first month of the pandemic “shows that adults were able to fight off depression and loneliness during stay at home orders by maintaining their social and, especially, their sexual connections.” This study was conducted during the pandemic and going into 2021, so it really gets at what people were experiencing during that time.
So, which city is the sexiest in all of America? Detroit. Yes, the Motor City is super sexy, according to the study and beat out Philadelphia to score the No. 1 slot on their list.
“Based on our sales of relationship enhancement products by our 45,000 Consultants, Detroit is the sexiest city in America,” Chris Cicchinelli, Pure Romance CEO and President, said in a statement. “It just reflects that during the past year, we have been spending more time at home and many of us have taken advantage of that time to rekindle relationships.” Pure Romance adds that increases in the company’s skin care sales “reflect how people are taking time to take care of themselves, as beauty and bath products make up two of the top three best-selling categories in the past year.” Find the full list of the sexiest U.S. cities here.
