The Detroit Lions have been left off the NFL's primetime schedule for the upcoming season. The Lions are actually the only NFL team without a primetime game this fall. Even the Jaguars have one. Yikes! While most coaches would be perturbed by this, at the very least, Campbell is actually happy about it.
"It’s awesome," the Lioins head coach said Saturday (May 14) on Day 2 of rookie minicamp (via the Detroit Free Press). "You knock them out, you go home, you get ready for the next opponent. You’re not waiting all day in the hotel, all night, and then you go up and now you’re on a short week it feels like."
