Dreams can be really weird. I've had some of the most simple dreams, like that I'm shopping in a grocery store, and some of the most complex, like traveling through an action film. Of course, when one thinks of dreams, things like flying or having some supernatural power comes to mind. So, what is the most common thing to dream about in Michigan?
The staff at MyVision.org has put together a study to determine the most popular dream in Michigan. For the methodology, they "analyzed more than 9,000 Google search terms related to dreams and dreaming to complete this study. For state-level data, we looked at search volume per capita averages over the past 24 months."
As for the United States as a whole, MyVision.org says the most searched dream has something to do with teeth or losing teeth. Also popular are dreams about snakes, horses, a love interest or crush and being pregnant. Rounding out the top 10 are dreams about spiders, an ex, tornadoes, cats and a cheating partner. Yikes on that last one. Don't tell your significant other, or else you might get in trouble for dreaming about cheating on them, even if you haven't!
As for Michigan, the state's No. 1 dream is about birds. Yes, birds. I really don't get that. We have some lovely birds in this state, but I've literally never dreamed about birds. My most common dream revolves around going up or down- elevators, stair cases, ladders that sort of thing. If you're a dream expert and can tell me why so many of my dreams have these elements, please hit me up on social media and let me know. Find the entire study from MyVision.org here.
It's a wild time to buy a house. The prices seem to just keep going up and up, with no end to this housing bubble in sight. I would love to buy my first hour, but like many, I'm being forced to wait until the housing market drops a bit, and it's anybody's guess when that will happen.
If you are buying a house right now, you should make sure it's in a good place to live, since you're likely paying a pretty penny for it. Thankfully, the folks at Niche.com have done the homework to determine the best places to buy a house in Michigan. They recently released a list of the best places to live in the state, factoring in both cities, suburbs, towns and city neighborhoods.
"The Best Places to Buy a House ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the housing and community of an area," they explain the in the study. "This grade takes into account key factors of a location’s housing market, including home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools, in an attempt to measure the quality and stability of an area’s real estate market." They also look at aspects such as home value to income ratio, public schools grades, monthly housing costs, the cost of living, the higher education rate, the median home value and much more. Statistics are mainly obtained from the U.S. Census and represent the most recent data available, they state.
