Can You Sneak Snacks Into the Theater?

Back in 2019, a Twitter user called @halilmemz asked Cineworld, “Am I allowed to bring my own food and drinks into the screen?” The answer, believe it or not, was yes at the time.
The Guardian ran an article on it, and they make the good point that purchasing concessions at the movie theater is still the best way to support that local business. “The thing that quite often separates a cinema’s success from its failure is the money raised through its concession stand,” the Guardian states. “If you can afford it – and it’s a big if – that pre-film bag of Maltesers is one of the best ways to demonstrate your loyalty to your local independent cinema.”
