Are we halfway to Halloween yet? Seriously, I love Halloween. Regardless, a Michigan haunted house is bringing us a spooky event in honor of Mardi Gras.

Awaken Haunt in Leslie and Boss Cider Company have joined forces to bring the "Mardi Gras Murder Mystery." The event is on March 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. at Boss Cider, 139 S Main Street, in Leslie. That's kind of a trek from Detroit, but worth it.

According to a statement, "Chef Dave will prepare a four course New Orleans Cajun inspired dinner with each course paired with a cider side car." Also, "This is an interactive event with some participants chosen to play characters for the dinner." Mardi Gras attire is strongly recommended, and party favors will be provided.
