When it comes to vehicles, everyone has their favorites. There was a time SUVs ruled the road, and while SUVs are not going away, they're no longer the most popular vehicle in America. According to a new study, most Americans are opting to purchase pickup trucks. Those are pretty sweet, although I personally prefer sedans- okay, sports cars. A girl can dream, right?

iSeeCars has a new study out, in which they looked at over 17.4 million vehicle sales to find out the most popular used and new cars by state. As it turns out, the Ford F-150 has been America's best-selling new vehicle for a whopping 40 years. Three other pickup trucks are also in the top 10.

“While inventory constraints from the microchip shortage led to decreased sales volume for many popular vehicles compared to previous years, the most popular vehicles remained consistent when compared with 2020,” iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer said in a statement. “This is because automakers were able to prioritize the production of their most profitable vehicles over their slower sellers.”

So, what's the No. 1 best-selling car in Michigan? For new cars, it's the Ram Pickup 1500. I do like those. For used cars, it's the Chevrolet Equinox. We're actually one of the only states in America that has Chevrolet Equinox at No. 1 on our tally. Check out the full list of cars here.
