The Detroit Lions are gearing up for an match-up against the Falcons on Sunday (Dec. 26) in Atlanta, and according to Dan Campbell, it’s “highly unlikely” that quarterback Jared Goff will be playing that game
“I would say highly unlikely with where we’re at right now,” Campbell stated during Friday’s practice. “He didn’t clear [protocols] this morning, so I would say it’s looking doubtful.”
Goff tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday (Dec. 20), right after the Lions’ big win against the Arizona Cardinals. He is reportedly experiencing mild symptoms and is “feeling fine.”
The Lions will likely to start Tim Boyle in place of Goff.
