AAA has released their 2021 holiday travel predictions, and in it, they singled out the absolute worst corridors and times to travel across the U.S. As it turns out, Michigan has one of the worst corridors in the United States, but as long as you avoid the worst time to travel on that corridor, you should be better off. Whether you're hitting this corridor or not over the holidays, drive safe, because you know holiday drivers can be wacky.

According to AAA's "Worst Corridors and Times to Travel" list, Michiganders traveling through Detroit should avoid US-23 North between 8 Mile Rd to I-96 on Thursday (Dec. 23) from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. At that time, traffic is projected to be 209% of the usual load. That's pretty busy. If you have to be on that route during that time, you might want to have your GPS route you an alternate way. Thankfully, I don't need to travel on that corridor over the holidays, so I'll just avoid it all together.

AAA says the days over the holiday with the least amount of traffic will be Christmas Day and New Year's Day, so if you have a lot of traveling to do, that might be your best bet. Drive safe, Michiganders!
