DENVER, COLORADO - DECEMBER 12: A Denver Broncos fan pays tribute with a #88 painted on her face to the late former Denver Broncos player Demaryius Thomas before the game between the Detroit Lions and the Denver Broncos at Empower Field At Mile High on December 12, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. The Lions were riding high on their first win of the season all week, but things came crashing back to reality on Sunday (Dec. 12) with a loss to the Denver Broncos. You’re breaking my heart, guys!
During the game, the Broncos paid tribute to Demaryius Thomas with plenty of beautiful references to his number, 88. The retired receiver passed away in his Georgia home last week at age 33.
In the end, the Broncos towered over the Lions for a 38-10 victory. See photos below. I’ll always root for the Lions, but really hope next season is better!
