Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson is the man of the hour, as he’s currently projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft. So, what team will be the lucky one to get him? Could it possibly be the Detroit Lions?

Well, if it were up to him, it sounds like he would favor the Patriots. The Lions, he says, aren’t the team he grew up loving.

“The Lions have been struggling for a while,” Hutchinson said during a recent interview with ESPN 97.5 in Houston. “I actually grew up a Patriots fan with Tom Brady and stuff like that. So, I never really loved the Lions too much. But, hey, if they pick me, they’re getting it all.”

We feel ya, Hutchinson. It’s not easy being a Lions fan. I’ll always love and root for the Lions, but man, it’s a tough road. “It was hard being a Lions fan,” Hutchinson added about his years growing up and seeing the Lions lose game after game.
