Happy 25th WRIF Anniversary to Screamin’ Scott!
WRIF Rock 4 Tots
Today (Dec. 10) is a very special day at the WRIF, because it marks the 25th anniversary of Screamin’ Scott being on our airwaves!
“Imagine living your dream job every day for 25 years,” Screamin’ Scott says in a Facebook post. “I’m blessed to live this every day.”
He adds, “The feeling hasn’t changed one bit, pushing the on the air button for 37 years total, but 25 years at the station my goal was set for. I remember leaving my roller rink DJ and bar gig at the Ritz saying in 1982, ‘Mark this down everyone… I will be back, and someday you will hear this voice on WRIF.”

Anne Erickson started her radio career shortly after graduating from Michigan State University and has worked on-air in Detroit, Flint, Toledo, Lansing and beyond. As someone who absolutely loves rock, metal and alt music, she instantly fell in love with radio and hasn’t looked back. When she’s not working, Anne makes her own music with her band, Upon Wings, and she also loves cheering on her favorite Detroit and Michigan sports teams, especially Lions and MSU football. Anne is also an award-winning journalist, and her byline has run in a variety of national publications. You can also hear her weekends on WRIF.
