Coast Guard Risks His Life to Pull a Body from a Car Stuck Near Niagara Falls

A U.S. Coast Guard diver took a huge risk on Wednesday (Dec. 8) and entered a submerged vehicle stuck in rushing rapids close to the edge of Niagara Falls.
A helicopter lowered the driver, and then he climbed into the car and pulled out the body of a woman in her 60s, according to New York’s State Parks Police said.
Check out photos and video of the car almost completely submerged below. Authorities say the woman was a local resident. Her name hasn’t been released.
